This is one of La la's childhood treat. While baking, she became nostalgic of times when her aunt use to bake these when she was a kid. Can you guess what we added to make her aunt's recipe even more sweet? That's right, it's nutella! You'll often see nutella mentioned on my blogs as I am a huge fan.
INGREDIENTS:
8 oz cream cheese
Nabisco vanilla wafer
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 c sugar
Mix cream cheese vanilla extract, eggs, and sugar together. In a cupcake foil, place vanilla wafers at the bottom of first then pour mix half way. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes (oven times may vary) Once cupcakes are cooled, place a slice of fresh strawberries or preserved cherries on top. Nutella is the last step. If you do not have a pastry bag, you can put the nutella in a ziplock and microwave it for 30 seconds or until it melts. Cut a small hole in the corner of bag and drizzle away. Place in the refrigerator for an hr to set.
