Korean BBQ

There are many things like the traffic, smog, and bougie-ness of L.A that I truly dislike, but I must say I have tried some bomb Korean restaurants..by far thee best (one point for you, L.A!) For those who want to make a money saver meal and spare venturing out to downtown LA just to find the perfect Korean restaurant, here is how to marinate your Korean BBQ, making it sweet & savory for your palette to thank you.

  • 4 lbs beef short ribs (Flanken style or Korean style)
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 4 tblsp white sugar
  • 2 cup water
  • 2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 yellow onion, halved and sliced
  • 8 garlic cloves, minced
  • lemon juice or you can use Sprite

Submerge Korean beef in marinade and refrigerate for 24 hours. The longer, the better!
